Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Machinist/Welder who will be responsible for the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and be proficient in TIG welding
Summary
Machinist / Welder is an intermediate level position with the experience necessary to be proficient in the set-up and operation of one or more machine tools with little supervision and proficient in TIG welding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Machining
  • Set-up Manual and Lathes and Mills
  • Operate machines
  • Inspect parts with measuring instruments and makes machine offsets
  • Maintain current set-up documentation
  • Instruct less skilled operators
  • Perform finishing work such as deburring, parts washing, etc.
  • Perform TIG welding
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Other duties assigned, as needed

Requirements
Education/Qualifications
  • Requires education generally equivalent to an associate degree in Machining with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with general machine shop equipment and welding; or a combination of relevant education and experience.

Required Skills
  • Proficient using general measuring instruments and some speed and feed calculations
  • Ability to efficiently and successfully perform basic machine setups
