Custom Home Construction Superintendent

Olivera Construction is a family-owned custom home builder in Lakeland, Florida, in business since 1972. Work includes new custom homes, renovations, additions, and outdoor living in Lakeland, Winter Haven, Lake Wales, Tampa, and nearby areas.

Job summary

Field superintendent for custom home construction. Coordinates on-site work from start of construction through final walkthrough. Works with the Owners/Project Managers, office support staff, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily jobsite work, including manpower, deliveries, and inspections
  • Work from house plans, details, and specifications. Report problems promptly
  • Schedule and oversee subcontractors. Confirm work meets plans, scope, and company standards
  • Keep the jobsite clean, safe, and organized
  • Walk the job daily. Protect finished work. Document progress, changes, and punch items
  • Check workmanship through all phases of construction
  • Coordinate with the office on selections, change orders, inspections, and material lead times
  • Communicate with Owners/Project Managers and office support staff as neededFollow safety rules and Florida building-code requirements
  • Complete closeout: punch list, warranties, manuals, and turnover
Requirements
  • 5+ years as a superintendent, site supervisor, or senior carpenter/foreman on custom or high-end residential construction
  • Able to read residential house plans and details
  • Working knowledge of framing, weatherproofing, and finish work
  • Able to coordinate multiple trades
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Work is on jobsites across Polk County and greater Tampa Bay
  • OSHA 30 preferred. Florida contractor license is a plus, not required
