Weโ€™re opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art production facility, and weโ€™re looking for talented Production Operators to help us bring bold, customized flavors to life. This is a unique chance to step into a fresh, modern space and make your mark from day one. If youโ€™re an experienced batch maker who thrives in hands-on work and wants to be part of building something new, this is your opportunity.

Position Purpose: The Production Operator plays a pivotal role in day-to-day Production operations to create our customized flavors. Operator will use lab materials, such as pipettes, scales, beakers, bottles, and jars, to follow flavor recipes to create our small flavor pours, which are high impact flavors mixed on a smaller scale. Production Operator IIIs will also support our Packaging and Production teams by completing additional duties and responsibilities in the warehouse to achieve daily goals.

Essential Functions

  • Create small pours for flavor batches
  • Assemble raw materials associated for each product batch
  • Start and complete product batch according to formula
  • Set up and label boxes
  • Mixing and manufacturing liquid and powder formulations, including natural and organic flavors, extracts, and complex batches
  • Make adjustments if needed and ensure accurate documentation
  • Package finished flavors
  • Assist other Production Operators with flavor batch creations
  • Inspect and approve level or required PPM of cleaning and sanitation solutions
  • Inspect bottles, pails, and other containers to ensure that packing specifications are met
  • Perform duties in compliance with company safety rules, SOPโ€™s and GMPโ€™s
  • Submit samples to Quality Assurance for testing and approval
  • Additional duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission and abide by our organizationโ€™s values

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all colleagues, levels of management, vendors, and customers
  • Knowledge of forklift operation and rules of safety
  • Basic understanding of quality control, production, and food safety
  • Ability to produce and maintain accurate records
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail

Physical Demands

The physical responsibilities described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, bend, as well as talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and climb stairs. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift shipping and receiving supplies up to 50 pounds and ability to push or pull up to 200 pounds with assistance.

Working conditions

The position works in a warehouse setting. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as a pellet jack, forklift, and standard office supplies such as computers and phones. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Travel

Local travel to multiple worksites within a during the business day may be required.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am โ€“ 4:30 pm (1st shift), Short-term schedule Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • 6+ months of flavor batching experience
  • Forklift certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of flavor compounding experience
