Rainbow Muffler is looking for an experienced automotive service advisor to help manage customer communication, sales, scheduling, and the shop’s daily workflow.
We have served the St. Petersburg area for more than 35 years and perform a wide variety of services, including general automotive repair, brakes, steering and suspension, maintenance, diagnostics, air-conditioning repair, and custom exhaust work.
This is more than a basic front-counter position. We need someone who can communicate confidently with customers, sell needed repairs, organize the workflow, support our technicians, and help keep the shop operating efficiently throughout the day.
Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and accurately document their concerns
  • Prepare and present repair estimates
  • Clearly and professionally explain recommended repairs
  • Follow up with customers and obtain repair authorizations
  • Schedule appointments and manage the daily workload
  • Assign and dispatch work to technicians
  • Monitor repair progress and keep customers updated
  • Review technician inspections and build complete estimates
  • Order and coordinate needed parts
  • Process invoices, payments, and vehicle pickups
  • Help monitor technician productivity and workflow
  • Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally
  • Maintain accurate repair-order documentation
  • Assist with opening, closing, and daily shop procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office
  • Help keep shop operations running smoothly when the owner is unavailable
Qualifications
  • At least three years of automotive service advisor experience
