We're looking for an experienced Auto Body Painter who shares our commitment to quality and attention to detail.
Position Summary
The Auto Body Painter is responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting vehicles to manufacturer and customer specifications. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, precision, and efficiency while maintaining Xclusive Auto Collision's reputation for premium-quality finishes. The ideal candidate is experienced with modern paint systems, color matching, and refinishing techniques, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare vehicles and components for paint by sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces.
  • Mix and match paint colors using computerized and manual color-matching systems.
  • Apply primers, base coats, clear coats, and specialty finishes using professional spray equipment.
  • Perform blending techniques to achieve seamless paint transitions and OEM-quality finishes.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, consistency, and defects, completing polishing and refinishing as required.
  • Work closely with body technicians and the production team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
  • Maintain paint booth cleanliness, equipment, and tools in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and shop standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures related to paint materials, hazardous waste disposal, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with custom paint projects, restorations, and specialty refinishing as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of paint materials used and communicate any supply or equipment needs to management.
  • Take pride in delivering exceptional workmanship while meeting production deadlines.

Requirements
Previous experience as an Auto Body Painter in a collision repair or automotive refinishing environment.
Strong understanding of automotive paint systems, refinishing techniques, and color matching.
Experience using HVLP spray equipment and modern paint mixing systems.
Ability to read repair orders and follow manufacturer repair and refinishing procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
I-CAR or paint manufacturer certifications are considered an asset.
