Job description

New Shop - Looking to fill the following positions: Sander, Masker and Detailer.

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting is the leader in affordable auto repairs and auto painting. We're located in Simi Valley, CA And will be expanding quickly. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Have an amazing and productive work environment. Lots of opportunities for growth. .

We are currently seeking an experienced painter to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in painting and working on cars and other materials. The successful candidate will also have the ability to read and understand work orders, as well as a keen eye for detail. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:.

  • Check sanded surfaces for defects and take corrective action as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures when operating machinery.

  • Perform routine maintenance on all equipment.

General Accountabilities

  • Reviews damage reports, prepares or reviews repair cost estimates, and plans work to be performed.
  • Sands body areas to be painted and covers bumpers, windows, and trim with masking tape or paper to protect them from the paint.
  • Primes and paints repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders.
  • Fills small dents that cannot be worked out with plastic or solder.
  • Mixes polyester resins and hardeners to be used in restoring damaged areas
  • Cleans work areas, using air hoses, to remove damaged material and discarded fiberglass strips used in repair procedures.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: Completion of formal training program in automotive body repair or refinishing with at least 2 years related experience
