Job description

Overview

PointCentral is the leading smart property technology platform for residential rental communities — powering access, security, automation, and intelligence for multifamily, single-family rental, build-to-rent, and short-term rental properties across the country. We're a subsidiary of Alarm.com, which gives us the stability and infrastructure of a public company with the speed and ambition of a product-led startup.

We're looking for a PM3 to join our Rental Real Estate Solutions (RRES) team. This role sits at the intersection of user experience, AI product development, and business impact. You'll own the simplification and modernization of our core property management workflows while simultaneously building the next generation of AI-powered tools for property managers and owners. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role on a team that moves fast and plays to win.

Responsibilities
  • Own the UX simplification roadmap — identify and eliminate friction in the workflows property managers and owners use every day; drive measurable improvements in task completion, efficiency, and satisfaction
  • Build next-gen AI tools — define, prototype, and ship AI-powered features for property managers and owners, including intelligent automation, proactive insights, and conversational interfaces
  • Vibe-code your way to faster discovery — use AI tools to build interactive, code-based prototypes that bring ideas to life quickly, accelerate stakeholder alignment, and compress the gap between concept and validated solution
  • Drive outcomes, not just output — own your pod's product outcomes end-to-end; define the right metrics, track leading indicators, and hold yourself accountable to business results
  • Influence without authority — align engineering, design, data, and go-to-market partners around a shared direction; earn trust through clarity, curiosity, and follow-through
  • Lead discovery with rigor — conduct customer interviews, synthesize signals from sales, support, and data, and translate ambiguity into crisp opportunity statements and testable hypotheses
  • Contribute to product strategy — bring a point of view on where the market is going, what competitors are doing, and how PointCentral should position its product to win
Requirements
  • High agency and accountability — you don't wait for conditions to be perfect before acting. You assess the situation, form a view, and move. You're comfortable operating in ambiguity and know how to find the right path forward without being told what it is. You're efficient with your time and stick to your commitments.
  • Strategic curiosity — you're obsessed with the "why." You ask better questions than most people have answers to, and you use that curiosity to uncover opportunities others miss
  • Strong communicator and influencer — you can write a crisp one-pager, run a tight alignment meeting, and get a skeptical stakeholder to yes — all without a title to lean on
  • AI-native mindset — you actively use AI tools to accelerate your own work and are excited to build AI-powered products. Bonus if you've already shipped AI features or built vibe-coded prototypes using tools like Cursor, Replit, or similar
  • Desire to win — you're not here to manage a backlog. You want to make an immediate, measurable impact on the business and you hold yourself to that standard
  • Business and industry fluency — you understand how rental real estate businesses operate: the economics, the stakeholders, the workflows, and the pressures. Experience in proptech, rental real estate, or adjacent industries is a strong plus
  • Product craft — 5-8 years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or platform products; experience with complex, multi-stakeholder workflows is a plus. We're also open to candidates without a traditional product background — if you've worked directly for a rental property owner or operator and have deep domain expertise, we want to hear from you
  • Technical comfort — you don't need to write production code, but you can speak credibly with engineers and prototype ideas using modern AI-assisted tools

Please note that sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position at this time.

  • Gain well rounded experience: PointCentral offers a diverse and dynamic environment where you will get the chance to work directly with executives and develop expertise across multiple areas of the business.
  • Work with the latest technologies: You'll gain exposure to a broad spectrum of IoT, SaaS and M2M technologies including wireless communication, video monitoring, smart home automation, web development, and backend application development and hosting.
