Job Summary
The Curriculum Coordinator supports the educational programs in the Learning Academy. This person is primarily responsible for supporting the implementation of the Kids โ€˜Rโ€™ Kids Curriculum through initial and ongoing training and support of teachers in the classroom environment. The Curriculum Coordinator also supports the operation and management of the center in capacities outlined by the Owner/Director.
Qualifications
ยท Certifications or degree in Early Childhood or Primary Education fields, or comparative work history.
ยท Classroom experience in an early childhood setting.
ยท Evidence of leadership or management in past employment.
ยท Knowledge of teaching principles, practices, and classroom procedures.
ยท Ability to communicate effectively through written and oral communication.
ยท All qualifications must meet state licensing requirements
General
ยท Effectively resolves problems related to the management of the center. Seeks assistance from the Director and/or Owner when appropriate.
ยทMust be able to react quickly with sound judgment and problem-solving skills in complex and critical situations, such as injuries andย  ย  ย  ย accidents.
ยทMust use excellent verbal and written communication skills with parents, children, and staff.
ยท Must be capable of lifting, carrying, and holding children in accordance with local state requirements.
ยท Plans work schedules and supervises staff.
ยทCompletes all required paperwork and record keeping on a timely basis and maintains same in an organized, up-to- date manner.
ย  ย Evaluates staff performance.
ยท Keeps Director apprised in a timely manner of all critical areas of responsibility, including serious student accidents, employee issues andย 
ย  significant events. Develops and maintains strong working relationships with all state licensing authorities, approved vendors, andย  ย  ย  ย community contacts.
ยท Represents the interests of Kids โ€˜R Kids Learning Academies in the community.
ยท Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
