Our Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager in Structural Engineering for our Civil & Structural Engineering Practice in Natick, MA. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant to help lead and expand our structural engineering consulting efforts while contributing to the continued growth of the practice. In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to lead analytical modeling and computational problem-solving, conduct field investigations and diagnostic surveys, and deliver high-impact technical insights. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as a strategic advisor to our clients.

You will be responsible for
  • Cultivating and expanding strategic client relationships by identifying new business opportunities, securing engagements aligned with emerging needs, and consistently delivering high-quality work
  • Inspection, analysis, and determination of root causes of structural/building envelope performance failures
  • Conducting projects and supervising others analytical and computer problem solving
  • Leading field investigations and diagnostic surveys
  • Preparing and presenting technical reports and complicated engineering assessments
  • Continued professional development towards maintaining professional expertise
  • Providing expert testimony where appropriate
You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Significant business development experience with a proven track record
  • Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Massachusetts
  • Structural Engineer (SE) License is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to attract projects and develop a group of highly motivated individuals
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical engineering and project management post-graduation
  • An outstanding professional reputation with an existing client base
  • Experience providing expert testimony in a dispute resolution setting
  • Significant experience in construction claims, dispute resolution, and litigation services
  • Experience drafting/reviewing analysis, reports, and presentations
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to positively interact with professionals, technical staff, and administrative staff
  • Outstanding professional reputation and a record of publications
  • Strong client base in similar market areas
  • A dedication to quality and accuracy

Compensation

Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above, total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.

The base salary range for this position is depending on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
