Job description

Curriculum Coach – Primrose School of Brookfield – Brookfield, WI

Compensation: $54,000–$64,000 base salary, plus an annual performance-based bonus (5–10% of base). Total target compensation: $57,000–$70,000.
A Real Path to Leadership as part of our planned growth - including a new Primrose location opening in 2028 - this role offers a genuine pathway to an Executive Director position within two years. You'll work directly alongside our current leadership team, building the strategic, financial, and people-leadership skills needed to run a school of your own as we expand.
Are you an experienced early childhood educator who loves to inspire and empower teachers? At Primrose School of Brookfield, we're seeking a Curriculum Coach who is passionate about teacher development, instructional excellence, and shaping future generations through high-quality early education.
Every day, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on both teachers and children - helping educators grow professionally while ensuring exceptional learning experiences in every classroom. If that drives you, we want to talk with you.
About Our School Primrose School of Brookfield is one of two Primrose schools currently operating in Wisconsin, with a third location planned to open in 2028 as part of our regional growth. We are locally and family owned - not corporately operated - which means decisions about your growth, your classroom, and our community are made by people who know you and work alongside you every day. You'll report directly to the Executive Director and work closely with our full leadership team on curriculum, staffing, and school culture.
Schedule: Unlike many schools facing ongoing teacher shortages, our leadership team is not routinely pulled into classroom coverage - each leader has dedicated job duties and the team works collaboratively so you can focus on coaching and developing teachers rather than covering classrooms. This is a full-time, salaried position. Core hours are Monday–Friday within school operating hours; some flexibility is required to support opening/closing coverage, staff meetings, and occasional family events.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: $54,000–$64,000, based on experience, education, and credentials.
  • Annual performance-based bonus: 5–10% of base salary.
  • Paid Time Off up to 4 weeks.
  • Paid holidays annually.
  • Health, vision, and dental insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Children's tuition discount.
  • Free healthy meals and snacks provided daily.
  • Clear advancement path to Executive Director as we open new schools.
  • Collaborative, supportive leadership team that champions your growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coach, mentor, and develop teachers to deliver excellence in the Primrose Balanced Learning® curriculum.
  • Lead onboarding and training for new teaching staff, setting clear expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to enhance curriculum implementation, teaching best practices, and classroom management.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with teachers, families, and staff — communicating with clarity, empathy, and purpose.
  • Navigate ambiguous situations with confidence, bringing calm and sound judgment to challenges as they arise.
  • Support staff through behavioral management situations, providing guidance, consistency, and developmentally appropriate strategies.
  • Foster a positive, professional culture that empowers teachers to take ownership and grow.
  • Partner with the school's leadership team on hiring decisions and professional development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (or equivalent teaching experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in an early childhood education setting, preschool, or large group childcare environment.
  • Proven success leading or mentoring teaching teams, implementing curriculum, and supporting teacher growth.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build meaningful relationships across staff, families, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in classroom and behavioral management, with the ability to coach others in these areas.
  • Ability to manage staff expectations effectively and lead through uncertainty with professionalism and clarity.
  • Ability to recruit and build strong teams.
  • Wisconsin state licensing/credential requirements applicable to this role (e.g., Director credential or equivalent) preferred; willingness to obtain required credentials if not already held.
Make a Difference with us at Primrose School of Brookfield, we believe in developing teachers as much as we develop children. Let's build a brighter future - together.
