LC State invites applications for the position of Site Program Administrator - Medical Lab Technology.
Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $75,000 - $80,000.
Degree Required: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Required Qualifications:
  • ASCP BOC or ASCPi BOC generalist certification as a medical laboratory scientist.
  • At least one year of experience in medical laboratory science education to include knowledge of: education methods, program assessment and administration, and certification/licensure procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Experience with program accreditation
  • Experience teaching in a clinical lab setting
  • Experience recruiting, advising, and mentoring students
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and develop strong internal and external partnerships
  • Demonstrated ability to provide direction and oversight to staff/students/student workers

Responsibilities:
The Site Program Administrator is responsible for:
โ€ข Coordinating teaching and clinical/applied learning education
โ€ข Evaluating program effectiveness
โ€ข Maintaining appropriate communications with the program director
โ€ข Providing leadership and oversight of the MLT program operations, including program development, curriculum, budgeting, and staff management
โ€ข Facilitating curriculum development and revision processes in collaboration with the Idaho Consortium for Medical Laboratory Technology Education, and in alignment with industry standards and accreditation requirements
โ€ข Collaborating with industry partners, healthcare facilities, and employers to ensure programs meet workforce demands
โ€ข Facilitating campus program approval processes
โ€ข Coordinating the schedule of MLT program offerings
โ€ข Managing all clinical lab functions, including inventory management (monitoring and ordering of all student supplies), set-up for all lab sessions, and instructing didactic and lab courses needed for MLT program completion
โ€ข The setup, maintenance, and monitoring of all equipment and testing activities
โ€ข Advising NHS - CTE Assistant Chair on issues relative to MLT program
โ€ข Coordinating with NHS - CTE Assistant Chair to align MLT program operations and facilitate collaboration amongst allied health programs
โ€ข Assisting in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of other allied health CTE programs
โ€ข Teaching in the MLT program
โ€ข Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.
