Job description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position is for a detail-oriented Learning and Development Intern to support our professional development initiatives. This role is ideal for someone passionate about adult learning, employee growth, and organizational development. You will work closely with the L&D team to design, implement, and evaluate learning programs that enhance employee skills and career progression.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Program Design and Development

  • Assist in the design and development of professional development programs, workshops, and learning materials.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging learning content such as job aids, e-learning modules, and infographics.

Learning Management System (LMS)

  • Assist in maintenance and updating of content in the Learning Management System.
  • Import, assign and track records for training classes.
  • Support the coordination and logistics of training sessions, including scheduling, communication, and tracking attendance.
  • Prepares training status reports for managers and/or other departments as needed.

Research & Analysis

  • Conduct research on learning trends, best practices, and tools to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Surveys management to evaluate program success and recommend improvements.
  • Share curriculum expectations with managers and learners.

Training Coordination

  • Ordering and inventory of DDI content for classes
  • Assist in document management and organization for department. (Teams Page, Corporate home page; Poolenet, etc.)
  • Provide intersession work reminders for participants.
  • Assist in class scheduling and calendar updates. (includes Leadership, CX, Gallup, Performance Management, etc.)

Other

  • Assistance with any additional department administrative office requests as needed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Undergraduate student majoring in Human Resources, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA 3.0

Work Experience:

  • One year of related work experience is preferred.

Physical:

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. of materials.

Other:

  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organized, detail-focused, and customer service oriented
  • Comfortable using social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Strong interest in learning and development, instructional design, or talent management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with LMS platforms or design tools (e.g., Canva, Articulate, Adobe, SharePoint) is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and/or presentations to all size groups.
  • Spanish bi-lingual skills a plus
