QUALIFICATIONS
  1. State of Arizona Standard Professional Elementary K-8 teaching certificate
  2. Five (5) years of teaching experience at the K-8 school level
  3. Have knowledge, skill and or experience in the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) strategies or be willing to receive training in those strategies.

DESIRED
  1. Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Educational Leadership/Administration.

  10. Ability to understand and maintain students' and parents' rights to confidentiality and not violate those rights; nor discuss students in inappropriate places or with anyone not in direct contact with such individual students.
  11. Perform all duties in accordance with Federal and State laws, district procedures, and Board policies, including mandatory reporting procedures.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Ensure that assessment data is communicated to teachers in a timely manner.
  2. Serve as an on-site coordinator, working with site personnel to facilitate administration of assessments.
  3. Regularly monitor assessment and intervention administration for integrity.
  4. Coach, facilitate and collaborate with classroom teachers on core instructional strategies for standard based instruction and any ongoing class wide interventions or individual interventions.
  5. Collect and monitor student achievement data.
  6. Review assessment data regularly with principals and make recommendations for instructional implications and/or remediation plans.
  7. Meet with grade level teachers to monitor student achievement.
  8. Attend regularly scheduled Instructional Coach meetings at the District Office.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Indoor school building and classroom environment. This position regularly works indoors. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. The position requires the individual to meet multiple demands and interact with the public and other staff.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The Instructional Coach reports to the Director of Curriculum/Associate Director of Curriculum. The Instructional Coach will interact cooperatively with all other staff positions. All elements of good human relations will be practiced.

WORK YEAR: 10 Month Contract
