Job description

Join our vibrant community at Tampa Catholic High School as we seek a dedicated full-time Math Instructor. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator with a passion for mathematics who is committed to fostering academic excellence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a supportive, faith-centered learning environment.

Position: Full-Time Math Instructor

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in mathematics courses.

  • Design lessons that promote conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and real-world problem-solving.

  • Utilize pedagogical best practices such as Understanding by Design, Standards-Based Assessment, and data-informed instruction.

  • Integrate classroom technology, including Canvas and our 1:1 iPad program, to enhance learning, collaboration, and assessment.

  • Support students in developing strong analytical thinking, persistence in problem-solving, and confidence in mathematics.

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Mathematics Department and across disciplines to strengthen curriculum alignment and academic programming.

  • Support Tampa Catholics mission by encouraging intellectual curiosity, ethical reflection, and the pursuit of truth through reason, logic, and inquiry.

  • Participate actively in the life of the school community through professional development, faculty collaboration, and student support.

Qualifications
  • BA or MA in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).

  • Experience teaching Calculus or advanced high school mathematics strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to teach conceptually rigorous mathematics while supporting diverse learners.

  • Experience with educational technology integration and curriculum design preferred.

  • Ability to challenge students academically while fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

  • Commitment to collaboration, professional growth, and contributing to the mission of Catholic secondary education.
