How you will make an impact:
As a Product Engineer, you will play a key role on the Product Management team, supporting the development, testing, and delivery of innovative currency and authentication solutions. This position offers the opportunity to work across product development, laboratory testing, customer sample preparation, and project execution while building technical expertise in Crane products and competitive offerings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to customer-facing activities, and help drive projects from concept through implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning new technologies, and making a meaningful impact in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Perform incoming inspection of prototypes and manage prototype inventory.
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare customer samples for evaluation and demonstration.
  • Create, generate, and maintain production templates and documentation.
  • Prepare and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
  • Lead small projects with clearly defined scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Participate on cross-functional project teams supporting product initiatives.
  • Conduct laboratory testing, collect and analyze data, and prepare reports summarizing results.
  • Support product management activities related to customer engagement, sales support, and product education.

Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
Required:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field, or equivalent related experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability and desire to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools.
  • Ability to learn product testing methodologies, laboratory safety practices, and technical procedures.

Preferred:
  • Experience working in a laboratory, manufacturing, or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing laboratory testing and documentation.
  • Experience writing or maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Familiarity with production processes and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated experience meeting the required qualifications listed above.
