BNP Paribasโ Global Markets business offers a broad range of products and services in the global interest rates, credit, currency, equities & commodity markets. Global Markets help their franchise of clients find effective ways to raise and invest capital as well as manage their exposure to risk. Global Markets has the scale and reach to conduct business anywhere in the world and deliver products denominated in almost all of the worldโs currencies.
Global Equities encompasses Equity Derivatives, Prime Services and Cash Equities. The Cash Equities business line provides research, advisory, distribution, execution, corporate access, and corporate broking services on equities globally to institutional investors and also serves as the distribution arm for BNPPโs equity capital markets transactions. Cash Equities Advisory incorporates a number of different services to institutional investors, including Research, Specialist Sales and Corporate Access.

Responsibilities:
Equity Research Analysts provide formal independent investment recommendations to advisory clients via published reports and financial models. Their internal and external communication takes the form of written research reports, personal conversations and meetings, and media appearances.
The Research Analyst will focus on supporting the coverage of the Networking Equipment sector in the U.S. as well as covering the Research Analystโs own stocks. The Research Analyst will support the Senior Research Analyst in the sector will be responsible for building, reviewing and maintaining financial databases and models, analyzing company and industry data, building an investment thesis, publishing investment-driven research reports and notes, and meeting with corporates, investors, media outlets as well as internally within the business.
The Research Analyst will be expected to grow and support the coverage as part of the overall strategy to expand the footprint of BNP Paribas Research in the U.S. The Research Analyst will have exposure to corporatesโ management, investor conferences, analyst days and own the process of utilizing the available resources to make an investment recommendation. The Senior Equity Research Analyst will also work with teams within the firm, such as corporate access, research sales, specialist sales and trading.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs Degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field of study
- Over 5 years of experience in sell-side or buy-side financial stock analysis
- Ability to analyze financial reports and business performance models
- Expertise on using market data tools, such as FactSet, Bloomberg and S&P Capital IQ
- Detailed knowledge with financial modeling, stock analysis and valuation using Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- CFA, CPA or international equivalent
- Over 5 years of experience in financial stock analysis in the IT Hardware, Networking Equipment, and/or Semiconductors sectors
FINRA Registrations Required:
CFTC Swap Dealer Associated Person (if yes, NFA Swaps Proficiency Program is required):

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $185,000 to $250,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
