POSITION SUMMARY:

The Credit Lounge Representative guides customers smoothly through the credit application process, educates customers on credit in general and Curacao services and benefits, in particular and helps the customer to navigate and address any credit account issues they may have. This position is the frequently the first and main customer contact in-store and plays a key role in providing an unforgettable experience to both new and existing customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Greet and guide customers through the credit application process in the credit lounge, troubleshooting as necessary, whether customers use conduct an application through the credit kiosk, the credit tablet or using the paper application.
  • Work with customers to identify and take action on problems with their accounts, keeping the customer informed and engaged throughout the process.
  • Educate customers on how credit works, how the different types of credit accounts at Curacao function and which types of behaviors and choices can help to hurt or harm their own credit score. Help the customer to determine which of the Curacao accounts best fits their habits and needs.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Curacao credit products and services (accounts, insurance, paperless enrollment, etc.) and be prepared to explain their features and benefits to customers.
  • Take ownership of the look and feel of the Credit Lounge, keeping the area clean, ensuring the furniture and installations are in good working order and reporting any major issues to the Credit Assistant Store Manager.
  • Monitor the performance of credit application and account management systems and promptly report any issues through appropriate channels.
  • Stay informed of and comply closely to internal credit policies and procedures to ensure company compliance with state and federal laws governing consumer credit and protect sensitive customer information.
  • Greet customers with a warm smile and friendly greeting whenever they walk within ten feet of you.
  • Be responsive and take ownership of any customer issues in collaboration with your manager.
  • Pitch in with any other tasks your manager may request your help with as part of basic store operations.
  • Demonstrate a Customer Centric attitude by always greeting and serving customers in an engaging and friendly manner and going above and beyond to understand each customer and solve for each one’s unique need.
