We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Cultivation Assistant to join our cannabis cultivation team. This hands-on position supports all aspects of the plant life cycle, from propagation through harvest, while helping maintain a clean, compliant, and efficient cultivation facility.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with plants, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to producing high-quality cannabis while following strict cultivation and regulatory standards.

Position Summary

The Cultivation Assistant supports the cultivation team with daily plant care, facility sanitation, environmental monitoring, and harvest preparation. This role helps ensure healthy plant growth, accurate recordkeeping, and compliance with all state cannabis regulations and company standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with all stages of cannabis cultivation, including propagation, transplanting, vegetative growth, flowering, harvesting, drying, and curing.
  • Perform daily plant care activities such as watering, pruning, defoliation, trellising, staking, and integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
  • Monitor plant health and report signs of pests, disease, nutrient deficiencies, or environmental concerns.
  • Maintain clean and organized cultivation rooms, workspaces, tools, and equipment in accordance with sanitation standards.
  • Assist with harvesting, trimming, weighing, and preparing cannabis for post-harvest processing.
  • Record plant movements and cultivation activities in the state's seed-to-sale tracking system and company software.
  • Follow all cultivation protocols, workplace safety procedures, and state cannabis regulations.
  • Support inventory counts of plants, cultivation supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist with facility maintenance and special cultivation projects as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with cultivation, production, compliance, and inventory teams.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in cannabis cultivation, commercial agriculture, greenhouse operations, horticulture, landscaping, or plant care is preferred but not required.
  • Passion for plant cultivation and a willingness to learn cannabis production techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, kneel, and work in varying environmental conditions for extended periods.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Must meet all state requirements to work in a licensed cannabis cultivation facility.
