Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

Shift: M-F, with weekend rotation built in

Hours: 8a-4:30p

Pay Range: $25-$35

Sign on Bonus: $5k

The Role Itself

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams for effective communication, especially in non-responsive cases and developmental needs in therapy.
  • Ensures timely completion of assessments, balancing therapist workload, and applying appropriate therapeutic theory.
  • Documents patient responses to interventions and formulating individualized treatment programs based on practitioner orders.
  • Designs and delivers activities aligned with patient needs.
  • Regularly reassesses patients, updating condition-based plans, and provides direction staff on activity-related groups.
  • Maintains timely, thorough documentation in accordance with hospital standards.
