Role Description

We're looking for a Wireless RF Engineer with broad-based expertise across RF architecture, design, integration, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate combines deep theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as electromagnetic theory, RF and wireless circuit design, communication systems, and product design trade-offs.

You'll leverage electromagnetic and system simulations, hands-on prototyping, and test and measurement tools to understand complex system and sub-system interactions - translating insights into production-ready designs that balance performance, reliability, and manufacturability at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Lead bring-up and production of state-of-the-art physical layer wireless communication systems
  • Design and simulate wireless systems optimized for ultra-low power applications
  • Perform link budget modeling and system-level performance analysis
  • Integrate and validate wireless technologies such as cellular, low power mesh networking, NTN, GPS, Wi-Fi, BLE, and LoRa
  • Collaborate closely across electrical, firmware, software, and mechanical teams to analyze RF telemetry data and optimize wireless network performance
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with antenna vendors, certification labs, and manufacturing partners
Required Skills
  • BSEE (or higher) with 5+ years of experience in RF systems design and debug
  • Strong hands-on experience in lab environments including RF conducted measurements, OTA testing, and rework.
  • Experience in cellular and/or low power mesh networks
  • Proven experience with RF manufacturing line testing, fixture development, and validation
  • Strong understanding of radio desense and coexistence testing
  • Experience in RF certification and compliance (PTCRB, EMI, FCC, CTIA, etc.)
  • Comfortable scripting in Python or similar for RF test automation and data analysis
  • Proven collaboration experience with RF silicon vendors, and internal EE, ME, and FW teams
Bonus Skills
  • Direct experience partnering with RF silicon vendors
  • Deep cross-disciplinary collaboration across hardware, firmware, and mechanical engineering
  • Experience resolving RF coexistence issues in sensors
  • Experience in antenna design
$195,000 - $210,000 a year
