What is a CT Tech assistant?

CT Tech Assistants, or Computed Tomography Technologist Assistants, support CT technologists in performing diagnostic imaging procedures using CT scanners. They help prepare patients for scans, ensure the equipment is ready, assist with positioning patients, and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and record-keeping. While they do not usually operate the CT scanner independently, their role is crucial for maintaining workflow and patient comfort in imaging departments. CT Tech Assistants often work in hospitals, imaging centers, or outpatient clinics.

Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment are valuable soft skills. These competencies are crucial for ensuring accurate imaging processes, patient safety, and efficient workflow in a clinical setting.
