Job description

Job Summary:
Operates Computed Tomography (CT) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including CT, general radiography, and fluoroscopy, while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with regulatory standards.
### Job Requirements
**Education and Work Experience:**
* Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
**Licenses/Certifications:**
* Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT): Required
* Radiologic Technologist (RT) license in the state of practice: Required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
* Fluoroscopy license (where required): Required
* Advanced CT Certification (ARRT-CT): Preferred
* Venipuncture certification: Preferred
### Essential Functions
* Performs Computed Tomography (CT) examinations and other diagnostic imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.
* Performs general radiography and fluoroscopy procedures as required.
* Assesses and monitors patients before, during, and after imaging procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
* Produces high-quality diagnostic images, including post-processing and image reconstruction when applicable.
* Transfers images using PACS and other imaging systems for physician interpretation.
* Maintains accurate patient records, documentation, and billing information.
* Ensures compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.
* Performs routine equipment maintenance, quality assurance checks, and inventory management.
* Adheres to radiation safety and infection prevention protocols.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
