Job description

Job Summary

Provides strategic leadership in the Chemicals portfolio with accountability for revenue growth and contribution improvement through pricing strategy, market expertise, and commercial leadership. Develops and executes market strategies, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives that enable revenue growth, maximize the value of network capacity, and support enterprise objectives. Serves as a strategic advisor to commercial leadership and customer-facing teams by providing market intelligence, pricing guidance, and analytical insights that drive business performance.

Establishes and maintains strong relationships across commercial, operational, and financial functions to align business priorities, support internal stakeholders, and advance customer-focused solutions. Leads and develops a team of commercial professionals focused on achieving financial results, improving enterprise outcomes, and executing strategic initiatives.

Primary Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Achieve annual volume, revenue, contribution, and pricing goals. 
  • Set and drive strategic direction for assigned markets, including pricing strategy, commercial priorities, customer segmentation, and growth initiatives. 
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies that increase revenue, optimize contribution, mitigate risk, and support enterprise objectives.
  • Plan and forecast market performance; identify and explain variance drivers; develop strategies to capitalize on opportunities and address changing market conditions. 
  • Provide market expertise, analytical insights, and strategic recommendations that support commercial leadership, customer-facing teams, and key business decisions. 
  • Provide strategic direction for contract negotiations and growth opportunities, ensuring commercial resources are aligned to maximize long-term value creation.
  • Develop subordinates through active developmental dialogue, including performance management discussions, coaching, mentoring, and ongoing professional development. 
  • Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
    • 7 or more years of experience in product management, marketing, pricing, project management, supply chain (logistics) management, and/or business to business (B2B) sales

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate Degree
    • 5 or more years of supervisory experience in product management, marketing, pricing, project management, supply chain (logistics) management, and/or business to business (B2B) sales
