Job description

Who we are looking for

The Senior Associate, ETF Settlements is responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of primary-market ETF creation and redemption activity, including both in-kind and cash transactions. This role supports daily interaction with Authorized Participants (APs), brokers, custodians, and internal ETF servicing teams, while maintaining strong operational controls and supporting process improvement initiatives across the ETF settlement lifecycle

What you will be responsible for

ETF Order Settlement

  • Execute, monitor, and ensure timely settlement of ETF creations and redemptions (in-kind and cash) via NSCC/DTC and international CSDs, including collateralized DVP/FoP flows

  • Review and validate order confirmations, settlement instructions, and applicable fees prior to release.

  • Proactively investigate and resolve settlement fails, cash breaks, and position discrepancies.

Operational Controls & Risk Management

  • Perform preparer and reviewer control functions in accordance with documented SOPs and risk standards.

  • Ensure settlement activity complies with audit requirements, information-classification policies, and regulatory expectations.

  • Escalate operational risks or material issues appropriately to management.

Client & Counterparty Engagement

  • Act as a point of contact for APs and internal partners on settlement-related inquiries.

  • Maintain accurate standing settlement instructions (SSIs) and supporting documentation.

  • Deliver timely and professional responses to client and counterparty questions.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize internal platforms (e.g., ETF Global Platform, Fund Connect, settlement and custody systems) for order processing, lifecycle monitoring, and reconciliations

  • Prepare daily and periodic settlement, collateral, and exception reporting.

  • Support data quality, metrics tracking, and management reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in custody, settlements, or post-trade operations; ETF servicing experience strongly preferred.

  • Understanding of ETF primary-market workflows, including in-kind baskets, cash components, and collateral is a plus

  • Knowledge of NSCC/DTC settlement processes; familiarity with international CSDs is an advantage.

  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Proficiency in Excel and operational platforms; experience with ETF Global Platform or Fund Connect is a plus.

Salary Range:

$58,240 - $92,560 Annual
