Overview:
Role: SAP Business Object WEBI, Crystal Reports, Power BI.
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Duration: 6 months

SAP Business Object WEBI, Crystal Reports, Power BI.
Experience Required • BI Architect with hands on design and development experience in SAP BO WEBI and Crystal report, and Power BI • Experience of Reports Migration from SAP BO to Power BI • Define and document the end-to-end migration strategy for transitioning Business Objects reports to Power BI. • Assess existing BI landscape and identify dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans. • Design scalable and secure Power BI architecture, including datasets, dataflows, gateways, and workspaces. • Establish best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, and governance. • Comprehensive knowledge of data design, data modeling data management and data visualization • Experience in creating data rich dashboards writing DAX expressions Good to have skills • Preferred - Additional programming experience: Python, R, • Report rationalization experience • Strong command over SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and performance optimization • Knowledge of star schema, snowflake schema, and semantic modeling for BI solutions. • Implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing user roles.
Roles & Responsibilities • Lead technical teams through the migration process, ensuring adherence to standards and timelines. • Work closely with business users, analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment. • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Create migration playbooks, technical documentation, and user guides. • Provide guidance on converting Business Objects WEBI, Crystal reports logic and visualizations into Power BI equivalents. • Integrate Power BI with enterprise data sources (SQL Server, Data Warehouse, Cloud platforms). • Implement automated refresh schedules and deploy pipelines for reports and dashboards. • Optimize Power BI reports for speed and scalability. • Validate migrated reports for accuracy, functionality, and compliance with business requirements. • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and manage user roles and permissions. • Ensure compliance with organizational data governance and
regulatory standards. • Stay updated on BI trends and Power BI enhancements. • Recommend improvements to reporting processes and architecture for long-term scalability.
Generic Managerial Skills • Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for non-technical stakeholders. • Skilled in gathering requirements and aligning solutions with business objectives. • Preferred - Strong experience managing onshore-offshore models, client communication, and requirement gathering • Preferred - Proven ability to interact with business stakeholders, gather reporting requirements, and deliver scalable BI solutions. • Strong interpersonal skills to work with Offshore data engineers and analysts • Provide inputs to create clear technical documentation, migration playbooks, and training materials
