Job Description:

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated SAP Business Objects (BO) Technical Support Analyst to provide production support, administration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence (BI) platform. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, data teams, developers, and infrastructure partners to ensure the stability, performance, and availability of enterprise reporting solutions.

This role requires strong technical expertise in SAP BusinessObjects tools, report troubleshooting, security administration, data connectivity, and incident management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Production Support & Incident Management

  • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for SAP BusinessObjects environments.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents impacting reports, dashboards, and BI platform services.
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Monitor system health, report schedules, and platform performance.
  • Support incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL best practices.

SAP BusinessObjects Administration

  • Administer SAP BO platform components including:
    • Central Management Console (CMC)
    • Central Management Server (CMS)
    • Web Intelligence (WebI)
    • Crystal Reports
    • BI LaunchPad
  • Manage user access, security groups, folders, and permissions.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
  • Configure and support report scheduling, publications, and report distribution.

Report & Data Support

  • Troubleshoot report performance and data refresh issues.
  • Support Web Intelligence and Crystal Reports development teams.
  • Validate report accuracy and data integrity.
  • Analyze SQL queries and database interactions to identify performance bottlenecks.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting SAP BusinessObjects BI environments.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform
    • Web Intelligence (WebI)
    • Crystal Reports
    • BI LaunchPad
    • CMC Administration
  • Experience troubleshooting report scheduling and publication issues.
  • Strong SQL and database query skills.
  • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, or DB2.
  • Understanding of ETL and data warehouse concepts.
  • Experience with incident and change management processes.
