JOB PURPOSE: The Data & Systems Analyst supports business operations by leading data analytics initiatives, managing critical data pipelines, and maintaining core business applications. This role partners with business stakeholders and technology teams to bridge the gap between complex software development, cloud data engineering, and business intelligence, transforming raw data into secure, actionable insights.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Application & Systems Management: Maintain, optimize, and develop business systems and web interfaces using Visual Studio environments, C# (.NET Framework and Core 9.0+).
  • Data Engineering & Pipelines: Extract, synthesize, and transform large datasets from multiple sources using Azure Databricks (PySpark and Databricks SQL) and automate workflows using Power Automate.
  • Database Administration & Querying: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex queries across relational databases, specifically Azure SQL and Oracle SQL, using SSMS and Oracle SQL Developer.
  • Reporting & Business Intelligence: Design, build, and maintain enterprise-level reports and dashboards using both modern tools (Power BI) and legacy systems (Crystal Reports).
  • AI & Document Automation: Implement intelligent data extraction and automation workflows using Azure Document Intelligence and Python scripting.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cyber and business stakeholders to understand needs, map data requirements, and deliver secure data solutions.
  • Data Quality & Documentation: Monitor data quality, troubleshoot database issues to ensure absolute integrity, and document data processes, definitions, and application workflows.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience);
  • 4-7+ years of blended experience spanning data analytics, software development, and data engineering (Senior - P03 level).

Technical Skills (Required):

  • Software Development: Strong proficiency in MS Visual Studio, C# with experience in .NET Framework and .NET Core (9.0+).
  • Data Engineering & Automation: Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark / Databricks SQL) and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Database Management: Advanced SQL skills with deep operational experience in both Azure SQL (SSMS) and Oracle SQL (Oracle SQL Developer).
  • Reporting & BI: Double-threat reporting capabilities with experience in Power BI (modern dashboards) and Crystal Reports (legacy enterprise reporting).
  • Cloud & AI Tools: Familiarity with Azure Document Intelligence for document/data extraction and Power Automate for workflow automation.

Core Competencies:

  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data structures, and database performance tuning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and troubleshoot complex system-level bugs.
