As an Investigator with the Intelligence Solutions team, you leverage your experience to proactively conduct research, analyze data, write reports, and present your investigative findings to both team members and customers. By collaborating with team members across Chainalysis, you will help support the most intricate financial crime investigations to meet and exceed customer expectations. In this role, you will:
Collaborate with team members and across Chainalysis to support complex cryptocurrency investigations Provide investigative and analytic support for technical and highly sensitive investigations and initiatives pertaining to blockchain technologies and cryptocurrency-based crime
Conduct research and data analysis, author investigative reports, and present those findings to team members and customers Review the adequacy and completeness of investigations and the data collection methods to determine the authenticity, accuracy, and relevance of that data–resulting in more thorough investigations and analytic assessments Evangelize the Chainalysis mission of bringing trust to blockchains, becoming an expert in using our tools and data to generate insights on illicit activity trends in crypto and their impact on our customers We're looking for candidates who have:
An active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph
Familiarity with Chainalysis Reactor and data (or similar industry products) and experience with cryptocurrency tracing and blockchain technology
Previous intelligence analysis experience conducting complex financial crime or cyber-related investigations for the U.S. federal government
A degree in cybersecurity, intelligence, criminal justice, forensic accounting, data analysis, or similar subjects
Experience conducting open source research using public information and private databases
Proficiency in reporting on complex topics An interest in and/or passion for blockchain/cryptocurrency technology Nice-to-have qualities and skills:
Previous professional or personal experience in the DeFi space
Working knowledge of (or proficiency in) SQL and Python This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship. The Investigator filling this role must be available to be present at a customer site up to five days per week.
