What Our Audit Directors Do:
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adheres to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
  • Manages the Audit team, identifies needs of the department and strategically implements processes, manages morale, provides feedback to direct reports on a monthly basis, supports firm initiates and goals and provides for their implementation at all levels within the audit department.
  • Continually build on technical expertise in cryptocurrency/digital assets, accounting, financial reporting and audit methods by attending continuing professional education courses or utilizing other training resources
  • Conduct or review research of complex or new accounting and financial reporting issues and prepare memorandums to support solutions
  • Responsible for overseeing functionality of crypto reporting systems currently in place and researching/advising on implementation of new software systems.
  • Builds effective working relationships with client personnel, conducting collaboration meetings and demonstrating professionalism throughout.
  • Identifies and recommends internal control improvements that may include operational enhancements or efficiencies for the client.
  • Manages client accounts including preparing reports, billing, fee analysis and new service development.
  • Anticipates and addresses client concerns; escalates problems to the Partner groups as they arise.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of audit industry practices and ensure best practices are always considered.
  • Participates in practice development activities and understands the client business model, client needs, and actively looks for additional service opportunities that leads to building current client base or generating new business.
  • Review and sign-off on final audit engagements.

Qualifications:
  • Licensed CPA in your state of hire
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Solid understanding of cryptocurrency specific audit issues
  • Understanding of industry terms and nomenclature (miners, keys, DeFi, etc)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience working for a financial institution or similar, with a minimum of two (2) years as a Manager over an Audit team required.
