Job description

Who are we?
FalconX is a pioneering team of operators, investors, and builders committed to revolutionizing institutional access to the crypto markets. Operating at the intersection of traditional finance and cutting-edge technology, FalconX addresses the industry's foremost challenges: Navigating the digital asset market can be complex and fragmented, with limited products and services that support trading strategies, structures, and liquidity found in conventional financial markets. As a comprehensive solution for all digital asset strategies from start to scale, FalconX operates as the connective tissue empowering clients with seamless navigation through the ever- evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
The Role
As Counsel, Regulatory & Product, you will play a lead role in FalconX's global regulatory footprint. Reporting to the Lead Attorney, you will own the execution of our 2026 licensing roadmap and ensure our product suite remains the "Gold Standard" for institutional compliance. You are a specialist who thrives at the intersection of evolving law and cutting-edge financial technology.
What You Will Do
  • Execute the Licensing Roadmap: Directly manage and execute new license applications (VASP, MTL, and international equivalents) across all 2026 target jurisdictions.
  • Product Compliance Ownership: Partner with Product and Engineering from ideation to launch, providing the regulatory guardrails for new asset classes and trading features.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Act as a primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries, examinations, and reporting requirements, ensuring 100% standing with global oversight bodies.
  • Landscape Analysis: Monitor global legislative shifts (MiCA, SEC/CFTC developments, etc.) and proactively translate them into technical and operational requirements for the platform.

Who You Are
  • A seasoned regulatory attorney with 4+ years of experience in fintech, crypto, or institutional finance.
  • Proven experience navigating complex, multi-jurisdictional licensing processes.
  • An expert at distilling opaque regulatory guidance into clear, actionable business advice.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $196,000 - $248,000 in New York City. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as location, skillset, experience, qualifications and the level at which the candidate is hired.
