Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

What You'll Do
  • Actively monitor and assess plant performance to ensure optimal efficiency, functionality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct rounds, surveying plant operations, grounds, and equipment.
  • Take readings on critical systems, observe functionality, and document any abnormalities for corrective action.
  • Use calibration standards, including inspection, testing, and measurement equipment, as well as calibration gas cylinders.
  • Perform routine analytical calibrations and adjustments.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, P&ID's, manuals, and documentation to support plant operations and maintenance.
  • Safely execute planned maintenance tasks, ensuring equipment and systems are functioning optimally and safely.
  • Ensure adherence to FDA/QMS(Quality Management System) compliance programs, following cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), applicable procedures, and UIG's internal quality systems.
What You'll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED. Associate's degree or technical school certification is preferred.
  • Relevant military, industrial gas/cryogenics, or continuous process facilities experience.
  • General knowledge of electrical and instrumentation equipment in process plant environments.
