Job description

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Evansville, IN. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.

Duties: 
This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and cynogenic liquids and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
  • Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels.
  • Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations.
  • Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets.
  • Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled.
  • Maintain electronic trip-logs.
  • Maintains cleanliness of vehicle.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Class B CDL Required with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Able to read and write English.
  • Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test.
  • Ability to communicate with customers Drug Free work environment.
