As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Detail in Crozier, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this role, you will bring integrity, reliability, and teamwork to every shift while delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic armed post.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment within the scope of an armed post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and/or maintenance concerns through proper channels.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports and communicate with supervisors, site personnel, and/or public emergency responders regarding incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
