Job description

Come join our team at Georgia Crown Distributing Co. as a professional, reliable Night Warehouse Truck Shifter. Georgia Crown is a full service alcoholic beverage distributor with wholesale operations doing business in Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee. The position is responsible for safely moving the company trucks around the yard in order to be loaded in a safe and timely manner and all other associated tasks related to the day to day operation of the warehouse.
  • The shift starts at 6pm and ends with the assignment is complete.
  • Employee will ensure that the correct truck is loaded in the correct bay.
  • Follow safety precautions when operating equipment.
  • Stay current with warehousing policies to contribute to a safe and appropriate work environment.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained
  • Work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
  • Assist with warehouse duties when required.
  • Cleaning up work area at the end of each shift
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 6 months previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Must have basic mathematics and computer skills.
  • Previous yard jockey experience preferred.
  • Heavy and repetitive lifting of 40lbs minimum required.
  • Attention to detail to ensure the safety of self and others.
  • Willingness to work with other team members to achieve company goals.
  • Report to work one Saturday a month to complete the inventory process.
  • Must be able to pass background check (i.e. police backgrounds, reference checks...).
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
    1. Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
    2. Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
    3. Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
