Job description

  • To regularly call on established accounts within a specific territory, promoting, selling and working in, all new distribution items available from Georgia Crown.
  • Must have overall product knowledge, properly inventory and survey the account for sales opportunities, and have a positive and mutual product relationship with the account and buyer.
  • Must achieve and maintain optimum store conditions to include new distribution (30 days), shelf/backbar adjacencies, POS/Menu assignments, and displays.
  • Promote monthly programs and pricing, keep up with market trends and conditions, and be aware of competitive activities.
  • Must understand Georgia Crown's policies and procedures, keep accurate account records and route books, keep monthly and daily pre-plans, and understand and work accounts within the applicable delivery schedules.
  • Must be accurate in taking and placing orders and assist, when necessary, in collecting and dealing with special situations.
  • Must communicate with suppliers in promoting, distributing, and building their brands.
  • Must be on time to all meetings, dressed appropriately and be prepared to participate actively.
  • Must follow itinerary each day and see all accounts on the itinerary and be prepared at all times with route book, deal sheets, pens, contracts, everyday deals and box cutter

* Ideal candidate will have superior wine knowledge and ability to discuss and sell our diverse and extensive wine portfolio...distributor/supplier experience is a plus.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required, college degree preferred.
  • 6 months previous sales or bar/restaurant experience required.
  • Must be sales-oriented, self-motivated, task-driven, adaptable to change, and good negotiator.
  • Must have good people skills, be willing to take direction and accept constructive criticism.
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have working knowledge of basic computer applications (word, outlook, excel...).
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, mathematical, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be licensable under guidelines determined by state alcohol regulations.
  • Must have reliable transportation and the ability to maintain 100/300/100 insurance limitations.
  • Must possess valid GA Drivers License
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
  • Background checks (i.e. Police backgrounds, reference checks)
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
  • Cannot have more than two (2): moving violations and/or at-fault vehicle accidents (any combination) in the past three (3) years (for speeding, violations must be under 16mph)
  • Cannot have more than one (1): speeding violation of 16-29mph OR at-fault accident in the past three (3) years
  • Cannot have a major violation such as: DUI/DWI, hit-and-run, reckless driving, and/or super speeder (29+mph) violation in the past five (5) years
  • Drug free workplace.
