  • ⚡️ Demand Excellence. We deliver only our best work, in Fit and Finish. We obsess about details others overlook.

  • 💪 Embrace Challenges. We see obstacles as opportunities to invent better solutions.

  • 💡 Think Differently. We get a thrill from finding better solutions others haven't seen.

About the Role:

We’re looking for someone who is obsessed with creating a constantly evolving and improving website experience. You are a master of implementation and strategic thinking and can put yourself in a customer’s shoes to understand what motivates them to purchase

In this role, you will be responsible for building, testing, and improving the site to drive growth. The Senior Webflow Developer & CRO Specialist will work closely with design, brand, and growth to continuously improve our online experience.

You'll be deep in Webflow every day, translating designs into high-fidelity pages, running experiments, and continuously finding ways to improve conversion performance. You take pride in clean, precise implementation and you bring a CRO mindset to everything you build — not just executing what you're told, but identifying what to test and why.

What you'll do:

Website Development & Webflow Ownership

  • Own the implementation and ongoing maintenance of our Webflow-hosted website

  • Work directly with design to build engaging web content

  • Build systematic, reusable components aligned with our design system

  • Ensure pages are responsive, fast, and production-ready across all devices

  • Support landing pages, redesigns, and iterative improvements

  • Ensure pages are properly structured for search engine crawlability and indexing (meta tags, page hierarchy, schema basics)

CRO Strategy & Experimentation

  • Own the CRO experimentation roadmap — identifying opportunities, forming hypotheses, and prioritizing tests

  • Implement A/B tests and CRO experiments end-to-end

  • Ensure test variants are isolated, stable, and correctly deployed

  • Validate that experiment events and conversion tracking fire correctly

  • Analyze results, draw conclusions, and iterate

Performance Monitoring & QA

  • Monitor page performance, usability, and conversion behavior

  • Catch issues and regressions before they become problems

  • Maintain high-quality standards for everything that ships

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Growth to align experimentation priorities with business goals

  • Collaborate closely with Design to bring their vision to life accurately

  • Communicate tradeoffs and constraints clearly

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–6 years of hands-on Webflow experience — you can build complex, scalable pages with confidence and speed

  • Experience in conversion rate optimization, growth, digital product optimization, or related performance marketing roles, ideally within eCommerce or mobile environments

  • Strong analytical foundation with hands-on experience designing, launching, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests

  • Demonstrated success improving conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, or other core performance metrics

  • Proficiency with experimentation platforms (e.g., Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Target) and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, Mixpanel)

  • Experience optimizing high-traffic eCommerce websites or mobile applications preferred

  • Exposure to UX research methodologies and the ability to translate insights into testable hypotheses are preferred

  • Familiarity with personalization strategies, segmentation, and AI-driven optimization techniques preferred.

How You'll Be Measured:

  • Execution Quality: Pages ship fast, look right, and perform well in production

  • Experimentation: Tests are well-reasoned, cleanly implemented, and producing real learnings

  • Site Health: Pages are fast, properly structured, and technically sound

Short Story is committed to providing equal employment opportunity and a work environment free of discrimination and harassment for all employees and applicants. We work diligently to ensure equal opportunity for all applicants and employees without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, age, Veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.

Compensation Range: $115K - $135K
