What is a CRO developer?

A CRO Developer is a specialist who focuses on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) for websites and digital products. Their main role is to implement and test changes to web pages—using tools like A/B testing and analytics—to increase the percentage of visitors who complete a desired action, such as making a purchase or filling out a form. CRO Developers work closely with marketing and UX teams to identify pain points in the user journey and apply data-driven solutions. They typically possess skills in front-end development, analytics platforms, and user experience principles. By continuously optimizing websites, CRO Developers help businesses achieve better results from their online traffic.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a CRO developer?

To thrive as a CRO Developer, you need expertise in web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), A/B testing methodologies, and a solid understanding of conversion rate optimization principles, often supported by a relevant degree or certification. Familiarity with tools like Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO, Google Analytics, and tag management systems is typically required. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you collaborate with marketing and design teams to drive impactful testing strategies. These skills and qualities are crucial for improving user experience and maximizing website conversion rates, directly impacting business growth.

What are some of the common challenges faced by a CRO developer when optimizing conversion rates across different platforms?

CRO Developers often encounter the challenge of ensuring that conversion optimizations are effective across various devices, browsers, and user segments. Balancing speed of implementation with thorough A/B testing and data analysis can also be demanding, as changes must be both technically sound and data-driven. Additionally, collaborating closely with designers, marketers, and analysts is essential to align technical solutions with broader business goals, which requires strong communication skills and adaptability.

  • Raise the Bar
  • Feel Safe to Explore
  • Collective Strength

If you're excited by our purpose and see yourself living these values every day,we'd love to meet you!

The Role

We're hiring a CRO Specialist to own the end-to-end optimization of our landing pages and conversion funnels.

This is a hands-on role for someone who combines conversion strategy, technical implementation, AI-assisted workflows, analytics, and experimentation to continuously improve conversion performance. You'll build, publish, maintain, and optimize landing pages for AxisKey and, potentially, Axis Reach clients, while owning the technical setup behind them-including domains, integrations, analytics, and testing infrastructure. You'll work closely with Marketing, Design, and Development to create high-performing digital experiences that directly impact business growth.

What You'll Do
  • Own the end-to-end landing page optimization process, from first draft to measurable conversion improvements.
  • Build, publish, maintain, and optimize landing pages for AxisKey and, potentially, Axis Reach clients.
  • Manage landing page domains, subdomains, DNS configuration, SSL certificates, redirects, and website deployments.
  • Configure and maintain integrations between landing pages, CRM platforms, analytics tools, and marketing automation systems.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests across page layouts, messaging, offers, forms, and calls-to-action.
  • Use analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, and funnel data to identify optimization opportunities and prioritize improvements.
  • Own the reporting cadence for conversion performance, experimentation results, and testing roadmaps.
  • Leverage AI tools and large language models (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Cursor) to accelerate copywriting, research, experimentation, analysis, and workflow optimization.
  • Recommend improvements to landing page structure, UX, messaging, and conversion strategy-not just execute predefined requirements.
  • Continuously identify new optimization opportunities and proactively drive initiatives that improve conversion performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Design, and Development teams to rapidly launch, measure, and iterate experiments.
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), Growth Marketing, or Landing Page Optimization.
  • Experience building, publishing, maintaining, and optimizing landing pages using Webflow, Unbounce, WordPress, or similar platforms.
  • Strong experience with CRO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, VWO, Optimizely, and similar platforms.
  • Experience planning, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Experience configuring landing page integrations with CRM, analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of conversion funnels, user behavior, and website analytics.
  • Proficiency using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, or similar LLMs to improve productivity, research, experimentation, and content creation.
  • Strong prompt engineering skills and the ability to effectively leverage AI for problem-solving and workflow optimization.
  • Strong UX and copywriting instincts, with the ability to recommend improvements-not just execute specifications.
  • Highly adaptable, curious, and comfortable learning new software, AI tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Bonus Points For
  • Experience working in B2B SaaS, FinTech, or high-growth technology companies.
  • Experience with Cloudflare, DNS management, and website deployments.
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console.
  • Experience with Mixpanel or advanced product analytics platforms.
  • Experience using Figma or Framer.
  • Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, Zapier, Make, or n8n for workflow automation.
  • Basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge.
  • Experience working with HubSpot or other CRM/marketing automation platforms.
  • Experience collaborating with designers and developers in agile environments.
What You'll Get
  • Wellness days
  • Wellness Growth Over Time
  • Referral Bonus Program
  • Paid U.S. Holidays
  • Remote First Flexibility
  • Competitive base monthly salary
  • Career growth opportunities
