Job Description

X-energy is looking for professionals to join our Global Business Development team in the role of Director, Customer Relationship Management. This position provides market segment leadership for development of potential customers in the utilities market for X-energy. Directors are expected to identify potential customers, customer requirements and actively engage with them toward becoming qualified customers.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities

  • Initiates, develops, and manages potential customer relationships.
  • Plans, manages, and achieves customer goals and objectives for assigned customers.
  • Leads engagement with assigned customer(s).
  • Develops, supports, and implements market, customer relationship plan.
  • Advises business development leadership on key customer priorities and objectives.
  • Gathers customer intelligence to identify customer needs, requirements, and value proposition.
  • Determines and communicates customer value propositions to company leadership and stakeholder organizations such as business development, engineering, licensing, supply chain.
  • Directs and manages responses to customer requests, including workshops, presentations, formal Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, etc.
  • Actively supports capture activities, plan development and implementation including proposal development support.
  • Manages one or more Business Development Managers as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
  • 10 plus years in nuclear or electric power generation sector project development, sales/business development, account management industries/manufacturing.
  • Expert level knowledge of the sales cycle in nuclear power, electric utility, industrial or process industries.
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise relevant to nuclear new build programs for either electricity or industrial heat production such as engineering, economics, technical, licensing, finance, etc.
  • Practices and exhibits emotional intelligence when supervising and working with peers, customers, staff, and subcontractors.
  • Excellent and demonstrated written and verbal communications skills including presenting complex financial and technical material to global audiences.
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills along with the expertise and affinity to work independently.
  • Knowledge of nuclear power reactor technologies and/or industrial heat/hydrogen technologies.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. nuclear export control rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Work Site Expectations: at least 3 days per week in office

Travel Expectations: 40% as needed

Hours: standard office schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm ET, Mon-Fri

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience required is:

$180,000- $230,000. The compensation for this position is comprised of base salary plus an annual short term incentive which is variable, based on scope of responsibility and achievement of goals.
