Job description

Job Description:

Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in material movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping, and maintaining stock in a storeroom or warehouse. Review shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.

Essential Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Provides the highest level of customer service to the Production team to maximize company success.
  • Hires and trains staff, communicates job expectations, and implements company policies and procedures.
  • Develops schedules and assigns work to team members to ensureefficient flow of inventory from the warehouse to the production floor.
  • Reviews and approves hours worked on a reoccurring basis.
  • Evaluates inventory organization for most efficient space utilization and makes recommendations to improve processes.
  • Oversees the efficient sorting, maintaining, and staging of products.
  • Maintains accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and/or daily checks.
  • Ensures inventory is appropriately labeled and placed in the accurate bin locations.
  • Ensures forklift safety inspections are completed.
  • Supervises salvage of damaged or used material and that appropriate action is taken.
  • Logs non-conforming product and verifies returned goods.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 2 years of warehouse or storeroom experience.

Certification(s):AAON Forklift Certification
