Veterinary Assistant
Crestwood Animal Hospital is seeking a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team in Crestwood, KY, just outside of Louisville. At Crestwood, we combine exceptional pet care with a supportive and balanced work environment. Our team enjoys a 4-day workweek, no overnight shifts and no Sunday hours - so you can build a meaningful career without sacrificing your personal time.
Our AAHA-accredited hospital offers innovative diagnostics and tools, including ultrasound, therapeutic laser and digital radiography. You'll have opportunities to expand your medical knowledge and develop your skills alongside experienced professionals. In addition to general services, we have a high caseload of exotics and offer acupuncture and rehabilitation - allowing us to provide a full spectrum of care for the pets in our community.

What You'll Do:
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians in providing medical treatments, diagnostics, and procedures
  • Safely handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
  • Maintain accurate medical records and assist with client communication
  • Provide compassionate care and support to clients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment and patient areas
  • Continually advance your knowledge base and skill set

What We're Looking For:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a veterinary or animal care setting, preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent patient care
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle stressful situations in a calm manner
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-changing environment
