Position Overview

As a Lead Technician, you’ll own project execution from start to finish. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on the jobsite, enjoys solving technical challenges, and takes pride in delivering polished, fully functional systems to satisfied clients. You’ll lead a dedicated install crew, guide junior techs, and ensure that work is completed to the company’s high standards.

This position is perfect for someone who’s already experienced in integration but wants a chance to lead—and grow into more.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute installations of Control4, Crestron, and Lutron systems
  • Mentor and guide junior team members on best practices and techniques
  • Ensure clean, complete project handoffs to clients (no 85% done jobs!)
  • Interpret wiring schematics, construction plans, and system documentation
  • Conduct programming and system configuration
  • Communicate with project managers, sales team, and clients throughout the job
  • Support service handoffs when needed (limited service coverage only)
  • Maintain a professional and client-facing demeanor on-site
  • Use company tools and vehicles responsibly and efficiently

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in residential or commercial AV integration
  • Strong hands-on skills with Control4 (required); Crestron and/or Lutron experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to lead small teams and manage jobsite priorities
  • Comfortable with light programming or system configuration
  • Technically curious and willing to learn new platforms (Crestron Home, commercial Crestron, lighting control, etc.)
  • Able to follow through and complete projects with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and client-facing professionalism

Nice-to-Haves

  • Crestron SIMPL or Crestron Home certification
  • Prior leadership experience on job sites
  • Lighting, shading, or network infrastructure knowledge
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and customer education
