Position Summary

As a Shift Lead at Sweet Paris Crêperie & Café, you play a vital role in bringing our Parisian-inspired hospitality to life while ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations. You serve as a leader on the floor, setting the standard for guest service, team performance, food quality, and operational excellence.

We are seeking energetic, dependable, and hospitality-driven leaders to join our Nashville, TN,  team. As a Shift Lead, you will support the General Manager and Assistant Manager by overseeing shift operations, coaching team members, ensuring adherence to company standards, and creating memorable guest experiences. You will lead by example, fostering a positive and engaging environment where both guests and team members feel welcomed, valued, and supported.

Essential FunctionsLeadership & Team Development
  • Lead daily shift operations while maintaining a positive, professional, and guest-focused environment.
  • Model Sweet Paris hospitality standards and coach team members to consistently deliver exceptional service.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Provide real-time feedback, recognition, and coaching to improve performance and build confidence.
  • Foster teamwork, accountability, and a culture of respect among all team members.
  • Assist management in communicating company initiatives, policies, and operational updates.
Guest Experience
  • Ensure every guest receives warm, welcoming, and attentive service.
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Monitor service flow and adjust staffing or assignments to maintain an exceptional guest experience.
  • Lead by example in creating memorable guest interactions and building guest loyalty.
Operations & Execution
  • Oversee opening, shift change, and closing procedures to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, speed of service, and cleanliness throughout each shift.
  • Ensure all products are prepared, displayed, and served according to Sweet Paris standards.
  • Support inventory management, stocking, and organization of front and back-of-house areas.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams to maintain efficient operations.
Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.
  • Ensure dining rooms, service stations, restrooms, and work areas remain clean, organized, and guest-ready.
  • Identify and communicate operational or safety concerns to management.
  • Uphold all company policies and procedures while promoting a safe environment for guests and team members.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist with scheduling coverage needs and shift assignments as directed by management.
  • Support front and back-of-house operations based on business demands.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Assistant Manager.

Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant, hospitality, retail, or customer service leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and coach others.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Dependable, punctual, and committed to operational excellence.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout scheduled shifts.
  • Food Handler and/or ServSafe certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
