Job description

OVERVIEW: We are seeking an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer (PE) professional to build our market share in Richmond, VA. This newly created Regional Growth Manager role offers you the opportunity to provide MEP/FP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection) design services in support of Mechanical, power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunication systems within Healthcare and Higher Educational facilities. If you are highly technical and passionate about the AEC industry as a whole and ready for the next step in your engineering career, we invite you to EXPLORE McKim & Creed. DURING YOUR WORK-DAY YOU WILL:
  • Lead initiatives to generate and engage with clients and partners to build new and repeat business for Buildings, Energy, and Infrastructure (BEI) in the Richmond, VA market.
  • Work with BEI management to build strategic business development plans setting and meeting revenue growth targets and take ownership of their execution.
  • Develop a strong pipeline of new clients and partners through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting including marketing, outreach to clients to develop effective teams for proposals.
  • Help increase BEI's presence at industry events, in person and online.
  • Provide feedback from clients and partners to help drive the service delivery roadmap.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts, update leads and targets to meet sales objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with an active PE license.
  • Minimum 8+ years of proven experience in client management to public and private sector clients in the construction industry. Healthcare and higher education experience preferred.
  • Must have existing relationships with clients and demonstrated past success in building new client relationships.
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of the consulting engineering business and the leadership and business development skills to expand market share in the Buildings, Energy, and Infrastructure sector.
  • Must be able to communicate constructively with all levels within an organization.
  • Organization and resourcefulness.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability.
  • Strong self-motivation, efficient and exemplary work ethic.
  • Travel up to 20% to company offices, client and partner locations, industry events, and other locations as required.
