The Senior Credit Union Trainer serves as the organization's learning and development subject matter expert. In this role, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve training programs that support employee performance, member experience, operational excellence, and organizational growth.

The position's essential duties include the following:
  • Design, develop, implement, and continuously improve training programs and learning pathways across the credit union.
  • Partner with leaders to assess learning needs, identify skill gaps, and recommend effective training solutions.
  • Develop curriculum, facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, job aids, and learning resources.
  • Facilitate engaging instructor-led, virtual, and hybrid training programs.
  • Lead new hire orientation and onboarding programs to ensure a positive employee experience.
  • Provide coaching and reinforcement training to employees and leaders.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through metrics, feedback, observations, and business outcomes.
  • Support talent development, career progression, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Create and administer eLearning courses, learning assignments, and certifications.
  • Develop digital learning content, including videos, webinars, microlearning, and assessments.
  • Monitor compliance training completion and maintain accurate training records.
  • Support organizational projects involving training, communication, change management, and employee readiness.
  • Stay informed on emerging learning technologies, training methodologies, and credit union industry trends.
  • Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, and Office of Foreign Assets Control requirements.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Learning & Development, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of training, learning and development, facilitation, or instructional design experience.
  • Experience within a credit union, financial institution, banking environment, or other highly regulated industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience creating and delivering training programs for diverse audiences.
  • Experience administering Learning Management Systems and developing eLearning content.
  • Professional certifications such as ATD, CPTD, SHRM, CUDE, or America's Credit Unions certifications are a plus.
