Accounting & Electronic Services Manager (Controller / Accounting Manager)
Baylands Family Credit Union is seeking an experienced Controller, Accounting Manager, or Finance Manager to lead our accounting, financial reporting, and electronic banking operations. This Accounting Manager position reports directly to the President/CEO and is responsible for accounting leadership, financial management, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger oversight, regulatory reporting, and digital banking services.
What You'll Do
  • Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, investments, cash management, and Asset Liability Management (ALM).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, board reports, NCUA Call Reports and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Oversee electronic banking services, including online banking, mobile banking, ACH, debit/ATM card programs, bill pay, mobile deposit, and eStatements.
  • Develop policies, improve processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Supervise and develop department staff while serving as a member of the leadership team.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of accounting experience in public accounting, banking, credit unions, or industry.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, general ledger, month-end close, audits, and regulatory reporting.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting best practices.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
