Position Summary

TOTE Resources is seeking an experienced Credit & Collections Supervisor to lead and optimize the credit and collections function across a diverse portfolio of customers. This role will oversee commercial, military, and government contract receivables, ensuring strong cash flow, effective risk mitigation, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in credit risk management, collections strategy, and team leadership, along with experience in transportation, logistics, or maritime environments.


Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of credit and collections professionals
  • Establish performance expectations, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented, and high-performance team culture
Credit Risk & Portfolio Management
  • Manage a diverse receivables portfolio, including commercial, military, and government contract customers
  • Evaluate and approve credit applications, set credit limits, and monitor exposure
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess customer creditworthiness and risk
Collections & Accounts Receivable
  • Develop and execute effective collections strategies to reduce past-due balances
  • Monitor AR aging and drive improvements in DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)
  • Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve billing issues and disputes
Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Implement best practices to improve AR processes, controls, and reporting accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP standards, and audit requirements
  • Support internal and external audits and maintain strong documentation practices
Business Partnership
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and commercial teams to align credit strategies with business objectives
  • Provide leadership with insights on cash flow, risk trends, and receivables performance
  • Act as a key liaison between TOTE Resources and supported operating companies

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of credit and collections experience
  • 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience managing complex receivables portfolios, including government and contract-based customers
  • Background in transportation, logistics, or maritime industries
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, AR processes, and financial analysis
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a shared services or multi-entity environment
  • Familiarity with government contracts, billing requirements, and compliance considerations
  • Professional certification (e.g., CBA, CBF, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
