Job description

Responsible for reporting, reconciling and remitting to agencies and investors. The Analyst ensures activity, balances, payments, and reporting are carried out in a controlled, timely and accurate manner. This position will provide prompt and accurate responses to servicing inquiries and concerns, both internal and external.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct accurate and timely monthly reporting and remitting for agencies and investors in accordance with investor guidelines
  • Perform monthly and daily reporting tasks for Investors
  • Process daily, monthly and miscellaneous reconciliations timely and accurately
  • Maintain accurate records of each investor's accounting and reporting requirements as specified in servicing agreements
  • Review each loan for accuracy of data and completeness of investor requirements
  • Research, identify and provide timely resolutions to all investor issues and reporting exceptions
  • Update loans within the servicing software to assigned investors
  • Ensures that services are delivered professionally and efficiently with prompt problem resolution
  • Maintains current knowledge of all policies, procedures and other documentation for investor accounting
  • Update internal system regarding status of loans
  • Update paid in full loans within MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) registry and cancel eNotes
  • Review and respond to credit bureau disputes
  • And additional responsibilities as assigned

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel (vlookup & pivot tables) and PowerPoint
  • Strong problem solving/analytical skills
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • High attention to detail

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Mortgage Servicing experience is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance preferred
