Job description

Senior Strategy & Transformation Leader - Credit Cards Technology (Consulting Role)
Capgemini is seeking an experienced leader to drive credit card technology transformation for a leading U.S. bank. This role focuses on strategic governance, planning, and execution of large-scale programs, working closely with Business and IT stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have expertise in retail cards, mobile technologies, and experience leading distributed delivery teams. Familiarity with U.S.-based Core Cards platforms (e.g., TSYS, FIS, First Data) is a strong plus.
As a Senior Strategy & Transformation Leader with deep expertise in Credit Cards and proven experience in large-scale technology implementations, this role will partner with a leading U.S. bank to drive strategic initiatives, ensuring successful governance, planning, and execution of transformation programs within the Cards domain. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities to manage distributed delivery teams and collaborate effectively with both Business and IT stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Governance & Oversight
    • Support governance frameworks for credit card technology transformation programs.
    • Ensure alignment of projects with overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Planning & Execution
    • Drive planning, execution, and monitoring of strategic projects and programs.
    • Lead large, distributed delivery teams across multiple geographies.
    • Coordinate with project managers, business units, and stakeholders to maintain strategic alignment.
  • Executive Reporting
    • Prepare executive dashboards, reports, presentations, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
    • Deliver clear insights and recommendations to enable informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Facilitate project review meetings and steering committees.
    • Act as a liaison between technology teams, business units, and senior executives.
    • Ability to manage Senior/C-Level Stakeholders across Business and IT

Requirements
  • Experience:
    • 10+ years in strategy, transformation, or program management within banking or financial services.
    • Strong background in Credit Cards and large-scale technology implementations.
    • Proven ability to work with both Business and IT stakeholders and lead large teams in a distributed delivery model.
    • Experience with retail cards and mobile technologies is a plus.
    • Familiarity with typical U.S.-based Core Cards platforms (e.g., TSYS, FIS, First Data) is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Exceptional communication and presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Proficiency in preparing executive-level dashboards and reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, cross-cultural environment
  • Other:
    • Consulting experience with top-tier banks or financial institutions preferred
