Overview

The Credit Assistant will provide clerical and administrative support to the credit department and the company by performing assigned duties with a high degree of competency and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
    Review Commercial Product Packages to confirm commercial exposure and research any discrepancies
  • Manage a credit department queue in Ignite and assign Commercial loans to the appropriate credit analysts/underwriters
  • Assist Lenders and Portfolio Managers with questions and help resolve any inconsistencies on the Commercial Product Packages and Loans
  • Pull varies business reports as requested
  • Serve as back-up for mailing out Consumer Denials
  • Serve as back-up for creating Letter of Credit documents in LaserPro
  • Serve as back-up for processing credit inquires/verification of deposits (VODs)
  • Assist with project assignments as needed by Credit Administration
  • Perform other duties assigned
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of banking experience
  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat Pro, IBS Insight, ISView and Share of Wallet preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Good understanding of the loan approval process preferred
