Job Description

As a Security Officer - Credential Review in Goodyear, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor access points for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel; verify credentials and maintain visitor and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Control access to loading areas, trailers, gates, and other restricted locations, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly movement of people and vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter, reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
