Job description

Our client a growing name in the apparel space is seeking a Social Media Content Coordinator. This is a freelance position (40 hours a week) with potential to go fulltime for the right person.

The ideal candidate is obsessed with community, storytelling, and content creation. You have a strong eye for capture and aesthetic, a clear sense of what performs on social, and a natural instinct for how brands should show up online. You're organized, curious, and excited to bring ideas to life through thoughtful, hands-on execution.

This role is deeply embedded in day-to-day social execution, supporting content creation, captioning, ideation, and community engagement in close partnership with the Social Media Manager.

What you Will Do

  • Create, schedule, and publish organic social content across platforms including Instagram Feed and Stories, Facebook, Pinterest, and eventually TikTok.
  • Manage daily community engagement across comments and DMs with care, personality, and brand voice.
  • Actively foster conversation and connection with existing and new audiences.
  • Capture and create social-first photo and video content, both in-office and on-location as needed.
  • Assist in content ideation and planning to support ongoing storytelling, campaigns, and launches.
  • Be comfortable appearing on camera when required for social content.
  • Support live content capture at events, shoots, and activations.
  • Support social growth and engagement initiatives in partnership with the Social Media Manager and cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager to bring social strategy to life through consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Keep a pulse on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
  • Monitor key organic social KPIs and assist with performance tracking and reporting.

What You Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in social media, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Strong understanding of organic social platforms, trends, and formats, with hands-on publishing experience. Proven ability to shoot and edit photo and video content tailored for social media.
  • An elevated eye for design, composition, and brand storytelling. Comfortable both in front of and behind the camera.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative, creative, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset. A proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media publishing and analytics tools (e.g., Dash Hudson, Meta Business Suite, CreatorIQ) is a plus.
