The specific qualifications for creative jobs vary by field and position. For example, if you want to work in the art department at an ad agency, you need to have strong visual skills, a talent for graphic or fine art, and excellent drawing and drafting skills. Meanwhile, as a copywriter, you need to have strong written communication skills. Your duties and responsibilities also vary depending on the type of creative work you do.

What is a creative?

Creatives are professionals involved in generating original ideas and producing content across various fields, such as advertising, marketing, design, writing, and the arts. Their main role is to develop visually appealing, engaging, or thought-provoking materials that help communicate messages, promote brands, or entertain audiences. How does a creative professional typically collaborate with other departments during a project?

Creative professionals often work closely with teams such as marketing, product management, and development to ensure their concepts align with overall business goals. Collaboration usually involves brainstorming sessions, regular feedback meetings, and iterative revisions based on input from key stakeholders. Being open to feedback and adaptable to changes are important qualities for success in this collaborative environment.

Job description

Assistant Marketing Coordinator

Do you love telling stories that make people smile? Are you passionate about creating content that celebrates people, builds community, and strengthens a brand people genuinely trust? Do you love turning ideas into engaging content, analyzing what performs best, and finding creative ways to grow an audience?
At Wendle Motors, marketing is about much more than selling vehicles – it's about sharing the people, culture, and community that have made us a family-owned dealership for more than 80 years.
Wendle Motors is looking for an energetic, organized, and creative Assistant Marketing Coordinator to help tell our story. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and analytical sides of marketing and wants to gain hands-on experience in nearly every aspect of a company's marketing strategy.
No two days look the same at Wendle. One day you might be celebrating a team member's milestone, filming a customer's exciting vehicle delivery, covering one of our community events, or brainstorming the next campaign that helps tell our story. The next, you could be analyzing engagement data, researching marketing trends, creating email campaigns, or collaborating with every department to showcase what makes Wendle so special.
If you're looking for a marketing position where your ideas matter and your work has a direct impact on a well-known local brand, we'd love to meet you.

Schedule & Pay

  • Full-time
  • Monday-Friday (generally 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; some flexibility available)
  • $19.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience

  • Comfortable learning new technology, software, and marketing platforms
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and eager to learn
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar editing software is a plus
  • Photography, videography, or portfolio samples are encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging photo and video content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Photograph vehicles, employees, customers, dealership events, and community involvement
  • Edit videos and graphics that align with the Wendle Motors brand
  • Research social media trends, platform updates, and marketing best practices to continually improve performance
  • Monitor engagement, grow social media audiences, respond to comments and messages, and help strengthen our online presence
  • Analyze marketing performance and prepare monthly reports highlighting key metrics, successes, and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, promotions, website updates, and digital advertising initiatives

  • Assist with dealership events, promotions, sponsorships, and other marketing projects
  • Help maintain a consistent, professional, and authentic brand across all marketing channels
  • Work alongside EVRY department – from sales and service to parts, admin, detail, and leadership (this is one of the most collaborative roles at Wendle)

  • Has a great eye for photography, video composition, and storytelling
