About Zimmer Communications
Zimmer Communications is a locally owned company with deep community roots. We began in radio and have expanded into a full-service marketing partner offering digital strategy, social media, video production, and content marketing solutions. We are committed to building lasting relationships and delivering marketing that truly works.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce local news, sports, and talk programming for KWTO and KBFL.
  • Produce live and recorded sporting events broadcast across Zimmer stations.
  • Stay informed on current news and sports developments and provide on-air analysis as needed.
  • Assist with booking guests for shows and coordinating interviews.
  • Create and manage social media content for each show, including developing graphics, writing posts for Facebook, X, and other station platforms, and producing podcast versions of key show segments.
  • Write and produce news content for on-air broadcasts, digital platforms, and social media; anchor newscasts as assigned by the News Director.
  • Anchor severe weather coverage and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for storm coverage.
  • Support music stations through voice tracking or filling in for on-air shifts as needed.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, consultant coaching sessions, and other company meetings as required.

Qualifications:
  • Highly motivated, creative, and self-directed professional.
  • Strong ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments to support station and company objectives.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of radio experience in an on-air or production role preferred.
